Hi! My name is Nyssa more commonly known as Beluga Chan.

I have been cosplaying since 2018 till now! Nice to be here again!

Q1: Do you have a special name, or cosplay name?

Beluga Chan but my nickname is Nyssa :))

Q2: When did you start hijab cosplay?

During CF 2018, so about 5 years now!

Q3: How long have you been in the cosplay community?

3-5 years

Q5: Are most of your props are DIY?

Usually I would buy the outfit. For the props, if it's within my budget and I'm capable of making it, I would DIY it myself!

Just recently, I usually buy my clothes online (Shopee, Lazada, Alibaba etc.)

Q6: What is your most favorite Anime? Cartoon? or Tv-Shows

ONE PIECE!!! but I do like Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, ect. But now I’m watching Classrom of the Elite S2 :))
Bleach, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul, Black Butler.. If tv show, its Sherlock Holmes

Q7: Do you still recall of whom inspired you to venture and further improve your Hijab cosplay?

Uuuuu some of the cosplayer that I looked up to are Saakira Izumi, Kak Ain Yaakob and Ai Nurul! Ohh and Miisa MHC too

Q8: Do you find Hijab Styling for Cosplay Difficult?

Yes, challenge accepted.

At first it was a challenge but as time goes on, you eventually learned the basics and it will get easier! ^^

Q9: Do you do your own cosplay hijab style or do you get inspired from other hijab cosplayers?

Yes, I often practiced my own hijab styling since there aren't a lot of tutorial online

Q10: How much time did you spend on average to complete wearing one set of Cosplay?

Usually it’s the prop that took the most time, I usually do my makeup under 45 minutes and wearing the clothes in 15 minutes.. but overall it could take about 2 hours??

I am from Selangor, Malaysia!

Q13: What is your most favorite Cosplan?

Mine for this year would be Hange Zoe from AOT and Killjoy from Valorant! Those characters are so fun to do!

Q14: Do you also draw your own artwork?

Currently I'm more into cosplay, but if you ask me personally I might open an art commission for you.

Q15: Do you currently have a favorite Husbando / Waifu?

Yes, my hubby RORONOA ZORO from One Piece <3

Q18: Do you have other past time hobbies?

  • I love Ice Skating <3 especially freestyle during every other weekend

Q19: What made you join the Cosplay?

• • I wanted to cosplay as the characters that I liked

  • I like the ACG community because it is never boring

  • It just felt like fun in the beginning, that is how I started to cosplay

  • I find cosplay interesting, and love the challenge in making new costumes

  • I feel like challenging myself with a new hobby, it so happen cosplay is one of them

  • I like the feel of being fabulously well known among my peers & it boosts my self-confidence

Q21. Have you ever entered a Cosplay Competition? Are you nervous preforming on stage for the first time. If you like, please share with us your experience while on stage.

Not really, kinda have those stage frights

Just do you, don’t listen to what people said about you! You cosplay for you and yourself only!
