Salam and Hi, Welcome to our Hijab Cosplay Website's Online Interview! Tell us briefly about yourself in your own words that is related to how you started to cosplay.

Salaam, I am just a hijabi that likes to dress up and found a hobby in making costumes, styling my hijab, and editing pictures. I aim to become the best version of myself. Nothing else.

Q1: Do you have a special name, or cosplay name?

Q2: When did you start to cosplay / hijab cosplay?

I started out in 2013 but only took it more seriously in 2017. I started my insta page in 2019.

Q3. Question: How long have you been in the cosplay community?

3 - 5 years

Q5: Most of your props are DIY?

I try to make most of my cosplays but if it is out of my skills or if it is a character I just want to cosplay soon while I am still busy with another, I will buy.

Q6: What is your most favorite Anime? Cartoon? or Tv-Shows

Mxtx novels, The Husky and his White Cat Shizun, Touhou Project, Cardcaptor Sakura, The Untamed

Q7: Do you still recall of whom inspired you to venture and further improve your Hijab cosplay?

https://www.instagram.com/sabiracosplay and https://www.instagram.com/mxryxmx_xrbxt are two Dutch Hijabi cosplayers that made me start cosplaying and that keep motivating to keep on going. I am forever grateful that I have met these wonderful people.

Q8: Do you find Hijab Styling for Cosplay Difficult?

Wearing hijab? what is so hard about that?

Q9: Do you own your current hijab cosplay style or do you get inspired from other hijab cosplayers? (Youtube Tutorials etc)

I tend to take ideas from others but also modify them to fit the character

Q10: How many hours or days did you spend on average to complete one set of cosplay? you may elaborate if you wish to (ie: making the dress, props etc. before going to event)

This depends on how detailed it is. I once finished a cosplay in a few hours because I thrifted it out of things I already had. While another cosplay took me about a month because I had to use different techniques.

Q13. What is your most favorite Cosplan? Since cosplayers usually has a few Cosplans in a year, here you can tell which one is your most favorite cosplan and why

Most people love my take on Marisa Kirisame from Touhou Project and I do also really like this one as it is the first one that I made all on my own from design to propmaking. As for cosplans, I am currently working on a lolita version for Cirno from Touhou and have set a goal on doing Xie Lian from Tian Guan Ci Fu.

Q15: Do you currently have a favorite Husbando / Waifu?

I don't have crushes... I do have characters I like, but not to the point to call them that... I currently really like Xie Lian, E'Ming(yes, a scimitar), Wei Wuxian, Chu Wanning, Yuyuko Saigyouji, Seiga Kaku. Yes... two of them are necromancers and there's a ghost in there as well. I like characters for their development and simply their personality. They all also either carry a bit of mystery or have a very daring yet just view on society. Except for the scimitar, I just love them for their personality ^^

Q19. What made you join the Cosplay?

It just felt like fun in the beginning, that is how I started to cosplay

I find cosplay interesting, and love the challenge in making new costumes

I felt that cosplay is a method to escape reality, to release stress from school or work

It all started with one costume for a con, and then I fell into the rabbit hole
