Wassalam and Hi ok this is my hijab cosplay journey. So since I was a kid, I really like to watch anime but I dont claim myself as a weeb because I just watch some anime and took it as an entertainment for me. But later, I have some weeb friends and we shared many things in common, its getting fun and all stuff. I was slowly being pulled into this community and just goooo deeepppp insideeee. Sucked into the sea and vanished. Like what ARMY said, once you JimIn theres no JimOut. Welp.. Im glad that my friends were so kind to me. They explained everything and answer my questions bla bla bla sometimes they do got tired of it because I just kept asking nonsense questions. Ok fast forward, I stumbled upon a pic of cosplayer, its not just a normal cosplay. But its MMC cosplay okay! MY SHOKORA 😭😭😭 ok ok.. its was on my Instagram and obviously I became interested in that. I want to know what issss thattt. Howww she can wear a dress the same as Shokora's. I was in awe. I was confused. I feelin dumb like always so I asked my poor friends again. Bla bla bla after that I randomly searched if there's any people who cosplay with hijab on and not a wig because back then its hardly to see one and I dont even know Malaysia does have anime events so on and of course I was amazed cuz it does exist. It does give me hope to cosplay too. From that day, I have this dream to cosplay and be like them. U know, so brave, confident and all. But I was scared, shy, don't know how to do it and don't know where to start. Until last year, a friend asked me if I want to join her cosplay group. She asked me to cosplay with her and I immediately said yes. I was like OH YES FINALLYYYY I HAVE A REASON TO COSPLAY. Which I shouldn't think that way because everyone can cosplay whenever they want but I was too scared of what people might say about me. So thts how it started

Q8: Do you find Hijab Styling for Cosplay Difficult?

Yes, at first it was a challenge. But that doesn't stop me.

Q9: Do you own your current hijab cosplay style or do you get inspired from other hijab cosplayers? (Youtube Tutorials etc)

Depends, sometimes I tried my own styling and it look nice.

Q10: How many hours or days did you spend on average to complete one set of cosplay? you may elaborate if you wish to (ie: making the dress, props etc. before going to event)

A months to get cosplay (accessories, shoes etc) prepared and at least 2-3 hours to get myself ready 😭 sis isn't a makeup guru

Q13. What is your most favorite Cosplan? Since cosplayers usually has a few Cosplans in a year, here you can tell which one is your most favorite cosplan and why

Calestia and some Guardian Tales character because Calestia hair probably hard to do and its gonnnaaaa be challenging for meee ohow and for Guardian Tales characters, its simply because Im addicted to it and not so many people cosplay as them since the game isnt famous... yet ;)))

Q19. What made you join the Cosplay?

I wanted to cosplay as the characters that I liked

I like the ACG community because it is never boring

It just felt like fun in the beginning, that is how I started to cosplay

It is fun and to get involve with other Cosplayers, while making new contacts

I feel like challenging myself with a new hobby, it so happen cosplay is one of them

I got dragged into this by someone I know, but it seems fun so I stick around for now
