Malaysian Hijab Cosplayer

Years Active: 2013 - Present

IG: Saakira Izumi

Saakira is a junior of mine back in UniKL University. She also handle our Anime club and participated in events on University level, though we haven’t met during studies time (since I’ve graduated much earlier), we get to know each other through the ACG public events. From time to time, I got to know her better. She is a responsible person. That is hard to come by. That’s why I decided to invite her to become one of the editor for the hijabcosplay .com website, another reason is because she knows what going on behind the scenes in HCG community.

Saakira is also known as the one of female Hijab cosplay photographer, she also tutored me a little on how to take photographs (though I personally doubt I can learn any new skills at this age, but I will still try anyway). During weekends, sometimes she was offered part time jobs for taking wedding pictures, and I’ve seen some of them and they are all beautifully taken. Maybe its still too early, but I guess she has plans to make it a full time wedding photographer career in the near future. To view more of her photography works, you can view them on her Instagram page or please click here to view on her facebook page instead.

Q22 . Any new Advice, or Shoutout for other new Hijab Cosplayers?

1. Dont be shy/scared to do saomthing but if you do try to find someone who can help and support you

2. Do not aim for profection but progession coz through progess you can determine yourself it is perfect or need to improve more.

3. Do not compare yourself with other people. Everyone have their own stories, so focus on your own.

4. Do not make unappropriated behavior just sake of getting famous/viral/fyp on your social media. Parents will see that Cosplay was not good activity.
